Experience

Devindra has been devoted to demystifying the world of technology after getting hooked on Tech TV (RIP) in the late '90s. He's sold ancient printers at OfficeMax, and he spent his college and post-college years fixing computers and managing student IT workers at Amherst College's IT department. Devindra started the Amherst Student's first technology news column, which and later inspired his career as a freelance technology journalist in New York City. He spent four years at VentureBeat guiding its New York City newsroom, managing reporters, and covering the tech startup boom of the early 2010s. At Engadget, he's reviewed as many laptops as he can get his hands on, spent way too much time in AR and VR headsets, and successfully relaunched the Engadget Podcast.

Education

Devindra attended Amherst College in the idyllic farm fields of Western Massachusetts, where he took a ton of film courses and earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy. Turns out, that's a pretty great mental framework for thinking about technology and the way it shapes our lives.
